What does everyone do with their original drum brake parts after changing to power discs? I changed the power drums on my 71 Chevelle to discs some time ago and for what ever reason still have the original parts. I really hate scraping good useable original GM parts. Have drug them to several swap meets with little to no interest shown by anyone. Now they're just sitting in the shed as got tired of dragging them back and forth. Interested as to what others in the same situation have done.

the drums make a good base for a portable shop light. Just weld a post to it.

I put mine at the curb for the scrappers to take, and I didn't feel one bit bad about it. I'd be very surprised to find anybody out there interested in used drum brake parts.

I toss the brake drums and parts, you can cut the boss on the spindle and turn it into a disc brake spindle or I believe they make a caliper bracket that bolts to a drum brake spindle now so I keep them. jim

If you are going to toss the drums-------------------I'LL TAKE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And any other brake parts for a 70-72!
I have kept the power drums on the 70 conv and I'd love to have any spare parts. I have an old brake lathe, so I can turn the drums if needed.
I would even drive to Wellington to pick them up!
