Im almost ready to order my disc brake conversion for a 1969 chevelle. I want to drop it 2 inches. What is the best way to do this drop spindles or cut springs or do they sell springs already cut . I am replacing them anyway. Also who sells the best disk brake conversion. How do i lower the rear. Frame is out of car this is my next step.

Springs... Hotchkis or Eibach springs with Hotchkis' re-valved Bilstein shocks matched to their rates.

I'll go against the grain and tell you to buy the dropped spindles. When you use lowered springs, you have to increase rate to compensate for less travel, which translates to a stiffer ride. I would prefer dropped spindles and full suspension travel. I can buy stiffer springs on top of that if I want.

You'll still need the stiffer rate to keep the headers, crossmember, or trans pan from hitting the pavement.

Also, lowering with springs improves the camber curve, raises RCH, improves tire wear, etc... All are still pretty bad, but better than "stock".
