I have a 70 chevelle with a 350/350. I removed the 10 bolt rear and installed a 12 bolt and the drive shaft will not fit as it is to long.Do I just have it shortend or replace the u-joint? Thanks Gary.

think you will have to shorten it. can not imagine there is a difference in offset between the 10 - to - 12 but these old hand built cars are all different. make sure you have the rear wheels supported before measuring and you want 1-1.5 inches of yoke exposed on the tail of your trans.
