HEY GUYS I HAVE A 1970 CHEVELLE MISSING A DRIVE SHAFT. IT HAS 4 SPEED TRANS (muncie m21). DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW LONG THE SHAFT SHOULD BE. FROM CENTER TO CENTER ON U-JONITS. CAR IS DISASSEMBLED SO I CAN NOT MEASURE. THANKS DON
It depends. You should put it together (when you are ready) and measure with the car on the ground, on the wheels. Most drive shaft companies have their own way of measuring.
I swapped in a 4spd (previously a 3 on the tree) and the drive shaft bolted in with no problems. Since I have been told I have the long cone on the 4 spd (m21), and thus that's why it fit so well.
