Which company does the man behind the name actually work for, and more importantly, which headers are better?

I can remember a post that said that Doug's ex-wife owns one company and he runs the other, but can't remember which is which.

I know of a person selling a set of "Doug's Headers" that will fit my brother's Nova for cheap and just trying to find out if this brand is good.

I believe this one was owned by the Ex, but Jardine has control of the company. I think the ex is dead now too.

.....and this one was owned by the man himself until bought by Pertronix:

Don't quote me, but I thick it is correct.

PerTronix bought Dougs headers on Jan,. 05. they are in Riverside. there saying Dougs is a 47 year old exhaust manufacturer.
There is still Doug Thorley Headers in Corona. Who sold out ??? Either the Wife or Doug !!!! What headers are you looking at.. You'll probably never know. But the wife had good headers too, I think mostly 2 into one type. Both usually had thick flanges on there headers.

Same info above I see ....

The box definately says Doug's Headers. They're almost brand new. For some reason someone decided they would try to fit Nova/Camaro headers into a Tri-5 and it didn't work out. There's a bunch of finger print/hand prints left because the "mechanic was having a hard time".

They looked clean on the inside, no sign of combustion.

dont know the answer to your question but. i bought a set of (DOUGS) headers for a big block that is in my 1955 chevy.and the main problem was that the header hit the oil fillter housing.they were supposed to (retool) and fix that problem. but the new header does not HIT the housing but it is so close that it burns the paint off the oil fillter. and you know thats got to add heat to the oil system.any way mine were ceramic coated and cost $626. and yes they do have real thick flanges and come with real thick gaskets.
