Alright, so this is probably an easy question for those of you who have been through this. However, I am completely lost! On my 72 Chevelle there is the door panels that go on the doors, and those are relatively simple to put on. But, my question is how do you do the rear part? It looks like the seat covers up most of the metal on the side and then a plastic piece is supposed to cover up the rest. This plastic part has no ability to connect to the car though! Am I just being dumb or am I missing something here? The piece has an armrest and ash tray in it so I am pretty sure that I have the right piece. Please help!

There's a metal filler panel that goes between the side of the rear seat and the quarter or sail panel of the car. This metal filler panel attaches to the rear of the plastic armrest piece and then screws go through the metal piece into the car. Then 2 screws go through the front of the plastic piece. I'll see if I can get a pic for you.

I attached a pic showing the rear plastic panels with the filler metal pieces attached. The red arrows indicate the areas that get screws. You have to install the rear vinyl door panels first, then the armrest assemblies as pictured, then the back seat. Hope this helps?

In the prior replies photo you will notice 2 screws going thru the plastic. Behind the plastic there should be 2 metal tabs that these screws go into.
