67 Imp SS triple black. Would it look tacky to use trim screws with the chrome washers to hold the door panels instead of the factory serrated nails? I never have been fond of the factory method.

Unless your door panel is damaged and the clips won't fit anymore I'd just leave it alone. It would be tacky to screw it on when the factory clips still work. If they are shot, well, that's a different story. I'd still hesitate to punch holes all over my 67 SS Impalas door panels though.

I agree...go to upholstery supply house and buy brand new plastic pieces to go in doors and I am not sure about if they have the nails or not...I can't remember ever buying any...I believe the bottom part of most chevrolet door panels of the era do use trim screws to hold them on the door...they do on the velles and maros as I recall...if you just want to use trim screws I would consider using black ones....be aware of screw length so you don't mess up any regulator components or the windows...

The panels are on with black screws, they're not too visible.
