'69, 2 door/HT Kick Panels and carpet out of car.

On installation, should I lay carpet, then install kick panels?

Or put kick panels in and then lay carpet?

And then do you trim and then tuck edge of carpet under kick panel?

Thanks.

Does anyone have a good idea on how much extra to leave for tucking under kick panel when I begin trimming?

Also, I assume the carpet goes under the insulation at firewall?

the simplest way i have found is to lay the carpet in put the kick panel back in with 2 screws us a light chalk mark at the edge of the panel on the carpet then remove the kick panel and cut about a 1/2 inch out side the chalk mark at least!!thats the way i do it and have never had one cut short yet and make sure the carpet gose back in where u had it the first time! i usually glue the center and work my way to the outside !!!
