I'm trying to figure out what I have here guys! I picked up this Chevelle project, and it has strange looking frame pads and some extensive notching done. It looks like an old build possible before LS, but I'm not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Not anything I’ve seen. Looks like someone cut the frame to fit headers. Most likely a big block drag car.
LS used factory mounts with a adapter to the LS block

Might be a BRP Hotrods LS mounts. If running a lower passenger side A/C compressor some have cut the front cross member for clearance. These days Holley makes some of the best swap kits. Everything works together.

Damn those are expensive motor mounts.

They are the BRP (Muscle Rods) mounts. I used those mounts (from a complete Muscle Rods kit) on my LS swap, long before the Holley parts became available. With the Holley 302-2 oil pan, they work great! Dirty Dingo makes an A/C compressor mount that puts a Sanden SD7 low and close enough to the engine that you need not notch the frame.
