Do Mini Roots Blower/Superchargers have gear whine like 6-71/8-71's?

I am trying to decide between using a Weiand Pro-Street 177cid blower and a ATI Procharger on my new 454 for my '70 Elky. I think the deciding factor might be the gear whine, which I want. I don't think the ATI Procharger will have any whine at all (or does it?). Has anyone used the ATI Procharger? Thank you for your time.

Yes, the ProChargers make noise that you'll definitely hear. Even the SC models which ATI claims are quiet; don't believe them!

As far as the belt pulley air issue, I had heard that about roots-style blowers, but I'm wondering if that's true with the centrifugals. I'm running a D1SC with an 8-rib serpentine belt and it's louder than I wanted. The reason I question the drilling of holes (which I'll do if it works) is that the serpentine belts are also used on all late-model cars with no noise. I've had 8-rib serpentine belts running A/C compressors, alternators, etc. and you don't hear a thing. But I fire up this ProCharged engine and you immediately hear the blower whine; seems louder at idle than higher rpm's.
