Yes, that is the one you want, and if you have an aftemarket dist. you will have to hone the bore out to .500". Msd sells one now too at .500 for about $30.00, however I have not heard any feedback about it yet.
Anyone else here anything????

You can use a stock GM gear on a cam with the cast gear pressed on. I'm currently using the stock MSD gear on mine. no issues for years with either one.

I agree with 540 , you can use the stock gear that comes with your distributor . The GM melonized gear is like .490 dia., which is the stock HEI dist. shaft dia. If you are using a MSD Billet dist. or Mallory etc , its a .500 shaft . I don't think its needed if they pressed on the cast iron gear on your comp cam.
