I have two trucks, a 78 and a 79. Im trying to sell the 79, but it needs a carb first. So Im going to put the new edelbrock 600cfm from my 78 on the 79. I was looking for a new cheap carb for the 78 [its only going to need the carb for about 2 months before I start driving a honda] and found summit selling the 750cfm road demon Jr for $209 brand new. I know my 78 can take a 750cfm vaccum secondarys carb no prob because I've done it before. My only Q is how do these road demon Jr's hold up and tune? I had a speed demon 650cfm mechanical secondarys for about 3 weeks before it was stolen but it was a bad mofo that ran awsome. Any insight would be great :)

My suggestion, if you're trying to go 750 vac seconds at a reasonable price, is to buy one of these...

Other guys here have done so and it's worked very well...
A Demon requires purchasing a special fuel line, doesn't it?
Don't get me wrong...I love the Demon carbs...run one on my 540, BUT...
In your application, a Holley 3310 would work better, IMO.
