L to R Gas,Boost,Amps,Temp, oil Some rust, 4 doors. It just doesn't get any sleepier. 403 RWHP and 420 RWTQ. Fun to drive. Not for sale.

I waited 66 years and 2 marriages & 5 kids to get this car. It's what I want and by god I got it. Now what do I do with this dinosaur?

Make sure your brakes, steering and tires are up to the same standard as the HorsePower,
Then Go, Drive!

I am able to lock all four in a panic stop. Thats good enough for me. I put ceramic brake pads on the front. Best thing I ever did. They completely nullified any vacuum losses from the cam and blower. The car stops just like stock. Before I put the ceramics on I had semi-metallic and the brakes were marginal. I was amazed at the improvement with ceramics.

Definition of a "Sleeper"
Nice, I love the faded slightly rusted through original looking paint, it's much better then my 12 year old spray bomb job with a 30 year old maaco paint job bleeding through.

You have to hide those gauges, when you look in my car you don't see any guages, not even a tach, it just puts even more questions into peoples heads when they are looking at the car and don't even see a tach.

Flat hood is great, I cannot fit my hat and discharge tube under a stock flat hood on my 67 but certainly wish I could.

Needs white walls. maybe some old steel wheels, old hubcaps but only 3.

Good luck with the new toy

I was going to comment that I didn't think any Chevelle really qualified as a sleeper. Even when I had the low compression dog of a 350 in mine, people always just assumed it was fast. When I saw that it was a 4-door though, then I changed my mind. Thats a sleeper.

How loud is the exhaust? That is what gives most sleepers away, is loud exhaust. I love it though. It's a shame to not drive it. I just got mine licensed today, so I'm driving it all the time.

I have 2 chamber flowmasters. They are fairly loud. I'm going to convert to 3" from 2 1/4" soon. I have a bit too much back pressure and it's keeping the valves on my "Evacupan" closed. Also need to baffle my valve covers.

I think the guy at the oil change place said it best. He said "If I saw you at the stop light I wouldn't give you a second glance". He drives a Mustang GT. Once he saw the engine he got humble. What can I say? That's why I built it!

I had a guy try me in a GT recently. I only played with him for a short while in second gear. It was worth a couple of car lengths and you could hear his engine screaming behind me. He was trying. He refused to try a second time. I think he was pissed.

NICE!

We need pictures of the interior (front/back).

Throw some newspapers on the floor, gym clothes / shoes in the front seat, baby seat/booster seats in the back).

or....make it look like your living in there! Sleeping bag, crackers..."living in 4 door chevelle down by the river"

We need to hear more stories / snide remarks when pulling into gas stations, grocery stores etc. Those are really the best and most remarkable.

what kind of engine/blower you have? i want to do the same thing with my 4 door.maybe not the same setup but something similar. i don't have must rust but i'm ok with that

It's a Vortech Supercharger. On the dyno the operator stated that it developed 8psi @6000RPM. I'll take his word for that. I don't look at the boost gauge under boost. :)

I have the least power developing pulleys on the rig. I can go up to 12 psi via larger pulleys. After that I need water injection to develop higher boost or so I'm told. This is new territory for me. I'm still learning how to drive it. It's way more power than I have ever had under my right foot.
