Guess I have Graveyard Carz set to auto record the new shows. Just started watching the second show of season ten which is the newest season and all of a sudden it occured to me Dave Rea is no longer on the show.
Dont know what happened there buy he is not the first to disappear with no explanation. He seemed to have extended Mopar knowledge and experience. A little research shows him with his own mopar resto shop. One would think being on that show would pay fairly well. Who knows. Was just suprised to see him gone as he was a big part and no nonsense.

I knew someone that worked at a shop featured on a show. The owners are the ones who really cash in, not the employees, unless they get money for personal appearances or product endorsements. These shows also can have grueling deadlines with long hours, the employees pay for that with their time. Look at the turnover at other long running shows, the grunts in the shop tend not to last long. This isn’t meant to knock the owners of the shops, they own the business, besides, many of the later employees are there for their 15 minutes of fame and to build a reputation for themselves when they venture out on their own. Sometimes what is seen on some of these shows are workshops with employees that operate as a separate entity within a much larger enterprise, they exist solely for the TV cameras.

I was wondering what happened to him as well. I've only watched episode 1 so far this season, but they had some newbie on there doing the dash installation with Mark's help. I don't remember what he said exactly, but Mark made a comment that I sounded to me like good riddance to Dave. It also seemed like Royal might be playing a more active role?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not liking the new production of this series. Seems like they're getting too fancy with all of the transition effects, etc.

I really was into this show the last couple of seasons, but thus far I'm not liking the changes this season.

I enjoyed talking to Dave and some of the other Graveyard Carz cast members at the Little Creek Casino Car Show in Shelton, WA, during the summer of 2017. While driving my Chevelle out of the Exhibition Center I stopped to let him know that I liked the show much better since he had been added to the cast. And I do know that he appreciates cars other than Mopars too, as he told me he had looked over my car while it was on display and really liked it. I already miss Dave's role in that show. He will be difficult to replace.

This happens in just about any business.

Years back, Ed Iskedarian claimed that just about every aftermarket cam grinder in the Country worked for him at one time.

What many people find out is running a business is entirely different than being a craftsman. I'm not even sure if Mark Worman actually runs the business end of his operation. If he does,he is a unique individule that possesses the talent for both.

I enjoy the show.

I never detected much of an ego in Dave Rea, either on the show or in person. Now as for Mark Worman, that's an entirely different story.

I really liked Dave on the show - thought he brought some normalcy to the craziness. Plus, he has to be a good guy as he is also from Montana like me..

David Rea is a class act.

I co-host a show with Lou Santiago called "Playing N Traffic" on Facebook. Lou is also the host of the show "Car Fix" on Motor Trend.

David was our guest on February 7. I really enjoyed talking with him. He is down to earth with no ego. David is an extremely talented car builder and he has a great passion for his Mopars. David was a terrific guest and when we have him back on the show, I will post it.

Here is the show from February 7, 2019:

I agree 100%. Dave is a class act. I know why he left the show....he left on his own terms.
I wish Dave all the very best. Dave will do great!
If I was a Mopar guy....I would certainly bring my car to Dave.

He probably left for the same reason I did....the owner clowns around too and thinks he's way cooler than he is.
