what is need to go from idiot lights to gauges as far as the wiring harness goes

Most guys get a gage harness so all the connections are there. If you are trying to modify the wiring to the gages:
The senders needs to be changed.
The wire that goes to the idiot light becomes the gage sender input wire.
The gage needs a positive from the switched ignition wire (pink).
The gage needs a ground.
