Can you help me identify a wire connection under the dash in my '70 SS
Chevelle? It's an unplugged female connector with about a 14 gauge brown
wire and a 18 gauge black/pink wire. I'm only guessing on the wire size. I
can't find it in any wiring diagrams. The car has a M/T, gauges and cowl induction.
Thanks for any help.

Where about is this connector located under the dash? Not at home at the moment and trying to guess. Around the bottom of the steering column?

It's to the right of the column. It tied into the wiring bundle that runs at the top of the speedometer to the left side of the column. Thanks.

The brown wire would supply power for the A/C system if you had it. The black/pink supplies power to the TCS relay. Why GM would use the 20 amp A/C fuse for the TCS circuit I'll never know. On 71’s & 72’s the TCS power is supplied by the radio fuse. Someone woke up.
