I got the dash out of my '71 Monte Carlo (Chevelle SS dash underneath the burlwood fascia)

A couple of questions.

#1. Is there a method of re-chroming the trim on the dash - like around the vents and gauges? Seems like they should have something similar to gold leaf and how it's applied only in chrome. "Chrome paint" is a little ghetto for me. What's the preferred method of bringing this back to life?

#2. Since this is the Monte Carlo, it has the burlwood insert that covers the recesssed portion of the dash stratching from the extreme driver's left to the center of the dash. Time has not been good to the finsh and it has faded quite a bit. Has anyone run across replacement panels or know of a method to bring back the luster of this piece?
