Can anyone tell me if the dash bezel for a 68 with AC is the same as one without, except for the hole on the left for the AC vent ball?
Is it possible to cut this hole in a non-AC dash and make it look right?

Identical! There is also the rectangular vent cutout in the top of the bezel. If I'm not mistaken, more than one company molded the bezels for Chevelles, so there may be some very minor differences, perhaps on the back. Any 68 Chevelle bezel will fit any 68 Chevelle.
On the back of my non-AC bezel, there is a very faint raised oval outline, molded into the plastic, indicating exactly where to cut for the left side vent ball assembly. I have seen other bezels that did not have this line.
Even without the guidline, cutting the opening for the AC vent should be a breeze.
I cut mine for a dash tach... No problem, just cut inside the marks, finish with a Dremmel tool, and by all means, go slow.

Thanks Merlin - that'll make my search for a replacement bezel easier.
