Dash- AC delete plate - 70 chevelle

Does anyone know where to get the plate that says "Chevrolete" that goes on the dash where the AC controls would be for an AC equiped car? The new aftermarket dashes don't come with them(not that I have seen anyway). I could use 2 or 3 of them if anyone knows where to get them. I have searched a couple junk yards but haven't found one yet. This is for a 70 ss chevelle. Thank you, Lonny

You did not state which year you need. In later years, cars sold in the continental USA were required to have a heater or AC in order to comply with federal regulations on defroster performance. This means that any such heater or AC-delete hardware would be found only offshore. Think of Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Guam and so on.

Please let me know also, my 70 Chevelle had that on my sweep style dash. During the tear out of my interior I have managed to loose that piece, now I want to use it to mount all of my toggle switches on, after I sand it smooth. I also have not been able to locate another, worst case I'll fab a new one from aluminum.
