I got my Chevelle back in December and the previous owner had replaced the speedo and tach panel. It has a clock built in and it sometimes will keep the tine correctly and other times it resets back 12:00.
Any suggestions as to what may be going on?

Also this morning when moving tilt steering to full upward tilt when exiting the vehicle, the horn starts honking. Could these two circumstances be related? I’m not experienced in troubleshooting electrical problems and any advice will be appreciated.

Your horn problem is likely the result of a failing turn signal switch or a failing turn signal cancelling cam. This is under the steering wheel hub and you will need a loaner steering wheel puller kit from an auto parts store. IIRC, You Tube covers the steering wheel removal procedure well.

I have a set of DD HDX gauges and yes, I've also seen this problem. For me, its when I don't start the car very often with extended cranking times likely giving me a voltage drop at the HDX control module.
