I have seen numerous references to custom dash inserts on this forum. "LYMAX" name is always mentioned, but I have not seen a link or contact info for this insert. I am interested in one for mounting custom gauges in a 72 Malibu, sweep style dash. Does anyone know the contact info for this product ?

Yes, we offer the dash inserts for various years.

However............

We are building our new home here in Lovelock, NV., a quick hour north of Reno on Highway 80. Once the home is complete, we will again offer all of our products. Maybe by that time, we will also have our website "maxxnme.com" up and running.

You can call us at-

775-980-7457 Cell/273-0709 Home if you have any questions.

i've got one word for the flat aluminum panel dash. boring. the 70 sweep dash has a lot of character. it's curved around the driver and has lots of edges and lines. the ONLY way to maintain the style of the 70 sweep dash is to modify the original. even the covans is just a flat piece of plastic. flat panels are fine for a race car, but a custom street car? no thanks. see what i did in the showroom and decide for yourself. i will be posting an updated pic just as soon as i get the VintageAir control knobs mounted and the JVC stereo in.

We totally agree.

However, the "RACEDASH" is just for that, a Race Car look.

The '68-'69 Dash Inserts we offer are more of a Pro Street (Maybe Pro Touring also) look.

Our updated '70-'72 Dash Inserts will offer more of a classic look.

As to the Covan items, we did build a one-off dash insert for a Team Chevelle Member who threw his Covan Dash in the trash can, but that was his choice, not ours.

HI;

Until we finish the new home here in Lovelock, I just can't spare the time to start producing any of our items. I will bring them online as soon as possible, so please be patient. The best we can do at this time is start another prospective customer list just as before, then email each prospective customer as the items become available again.

Thanks again to all of our past customers, and plan to have many new happy customers.
