Connecticut Dragway ReunionMonday, June 16th 2008The Connecticut Street Rod Association presents another night to remember. The Connecticut Dragway Reunion will once again be held at the Mountain Ridge Resort at the top of High Hill in Wallingford, CT. Exit 15 off of I-91. Gates officially open at 5:00 PM for participants with a "Crackle Fest" scheduled for 7:00 PM. Participants with their cars enter free, but can make a donation at the gate if they so desire. Spectators are $5.00 and all proceeds are donated to the Wallingford Wishing Well, which is an organization that aids needy familys.
This event will be dedicated to long time hot rodder and car customizer, "Red" McCormick who passed from us last year.

I always miss this one. It used to be right across from my office in Wallingford. I am going to try to make it this year. Are you going to show one of your Chevelles , or just spectate?? Maybe I will see you there.

Both sides of Street will be used Rain Date: Wed night, June 18,.

Awards for 10 + 1 Best of Show ~ car parade again this year but a little different, should be fun, also one more surprise, check back to find out what it is!

Easy to get to just off Route 9 From North or South. Take Rt. 66 West then South on Main St. Rt. 66 East to Main St. South

I will probably be in the 69.... the only time I'm just a spectator , are the shows that are a little to far to drive the cars there and back in the same day.
Middletown is 5 minutes from my house and I usually only attend the one in the fall on Sunday, but there's a rumor that they're not doing that one this year.

Hope I can meet up with you and check out your '69 next week @ Mountainside. I hope the October Show in Middletown is a reality. The August 3rd show in Manchester is a must. 1600 cars last year. They closed Main street from Hartford Road to Center street (almost 1 mile long):thumbsup:

I went to Manchester two years ago... got there about 9:30 and was in the 700's already. Good show !!!:yes:

It was a great show. Main Street is closed for a little less than a mile & there are cars up and down both sides, a double row down the center and various side streets & parking lots.

From 384 East Take Exit 3, Take a Right off the exit to down town.

From 384 West Take exit 3, Take a Left off the exit, Turn right onto Main Street.


Cut Off Date for Manchester is 1983. A $5.00 gate will be asked for registration, beginning at 8:AM. And what a show last year over 1600 cars! Do not come to early or you'll be asked to move your car! Dash plaques for the first 1000 cars will be given out! Cars will be judged for trophies! So come down to Main Street and join in on a FUN FAMILY EVENT!! Moneys will go to local automotive trade school scholarships!!
