Is there anyway to get creases out of a headliner from when they folded the headliner to ship it and some wrinkles out ?I have been trying warm water and a hair dryer but it hasn't helped much.
How tight should I pull the headliner where it curves down at the sides? Should it be streched tight there or follow the curve? If you just follow the curve then the flat top isn't streched much.
Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks Jerry
I have acouple of days in working on this headliner and I'm not sure if I should take it back down to try and get the creases and wrinkles out first. There was a paper that came with it saying to lay it out in the sun to get the wrinkles and creases out but there isn't much sun this time of year.

After I installed mine you could still see faint lines where it had been folded. After a few warm days they gradually disappeared.

I did this to an old dirty headliner May work on a new one.

I washed the headliner with Wool Lite(made for wool). Using the suds on a sponge. It still got pretty wet but when it dried it was clean and very tight.
