what makes this 850 dp so special that it sells for this much $ over a regular 850 dp?

I know they say its calibrated for a 572 crate engine. Is it worth $300 if in mint shape? seems to me for what they want i could get a much nicer prosystems or custom carb.

"Chevrolet Performance" adds $300.

If I was spending that money Id go with AED. I have that same one in the link below on my MJ406 in the 70 and a 750HPHO on my wifes 68 Camaro.

AED 850 HO

AED has been amazing. But there are better carbs than the one you listed.

the one calibrated for a 572/620 crate has an electric choke;
if you have a line on a mint one for $300 it would be worth it;

a regular 850dp is about $590 for comparison,

if you buy it and its not exactly what you want, it could always be resold

I agree with others, you can get a pretty nice 850 HP carb for that kind of money.
