don't drag your oil pan across radiator support on big block-about 4 inches behind balancer crank was hitting pan. i think somebody on this forum told me to run engine and hit pan w/ hammer up on side above where crank was hitting and guess what it worked!!!!! knock is gone and tires are gonna be gone--runs great and eats lots of gas oh yea!!!! thanks to all that tried to help. i only have one good arm and really did'nt want to pull motor again. now back to bodywork and paint.
