I have a 70 Chevelle (just purchased) will the flapper work with just the vacuum pod alone with a check valve, does not have the solenoid or cowl air clearner. Just looking to have the flapper open. Thanks Tom

It will work but not corectly it will wear out fast and open too fast without the check valve.
