Cowl hood question

Hi gang,I have a question I picked up a used cowl hood for my 72 from a guy who inherited a collection of hoods and the hood has the hood pins which is not a surprise but also had holes where a hood tach was mounted, did any Chevelles come with a factory hood tach or just an add on. Thanks
