Not an easy job at all. I went to do this for a 69 Firebird a few years ago and took them to a professional trim shop. They turned out butt ugly. The main problem is with the plastic support and clips on the bottom. It was also very idfficult to get them stretched for the contours of the headrest. Ended up getting full headrest reproductions. Hopefully you will have better success. Good luck.

Are they bucket seat headrests? Stock bucket seat headrest don't have a "cover" on them. They're a 1-piece vacuum formed chunk of foam. Having covers put on them is a poor compromise at best, because they rarely look good. There are aftermarket headrests available, but they're not cheap.

I did mine, just pulled the plastic cover for the staples and remove them and put new one on make sure the cord and extra fabric is all folded the same way or you will have wrinkles, staple it back..looks good.
