I know the 69 front color is Argent Silver but have found conflicting information regarding the back side. Does anyone know if the back side of a rally wheel is supposed to be satin black or dark gray??

It depends on the year of the wheels. Some were gray and some were black. What year Vette wheel? What is the code and date stamped into the wheel? Are they really Vette wheels or simply Chevrolet Rally wheels?
Perhaps maybe the question should be, What year/model do you want it to look correct for?

Do you want the wheels to be correctly colored for a '69 Chevelle, eventhough they will be 15" wheels instead of 14"?

Or are you putting these on another vehicle (69 Corvette?)?

Rally wheels where dip primed a semi flat back. Then sprayed silver on the front side. Allowing over spray through the slots. So runs drips and other flaws will be there

These are reproduction rallys - found "Hayes Wheels" sticker inside the rim once I had the tires dismounted. I have the original YA coded 14 inch rallys but the Corvette style really look better agains the Black car that also has the stainless trim on it. Sounds like the flat black back with the Argent Silver front is the way to go. I want them to look year correct if that matters so 69. thx.
