I'm catching proverbial hell trying to get the correct upper radiator hose from any of these parts stores. The store that was finally able to get me a hose (advance) gave me one that is all out of whack. It will not line up with the right water neck at all. I don't think I have the wrong neck, it's just an angled neck, stock off of my small block. No matter how I twist and contort this thing, it won't go without folding over on itself, lol. And shortening it won't help either, so I don't think I'm going to try that. :( You would think most all Chevy upper hoses of that era would be very similar, and mostly interchange between similar engine combos.

Do any of you guys have part numbers on your hoses? And if so, could you please let me know what they are, and if possible, what brand they are as well. I will drive out of my way to the Orielly in Newnan if one of you guys have a Gates number. :) All of these stores have these crazy house brands, and that's it. I don't mind NAPA gold stuff, supposedly Gates also, dunno. The one I got from Advance has no brand name on it, just this part number. "(E) 70392 CS"

Thanks in advance!

This probably wont help if you are looking for a quick fix by getting a hose locally. but I ordered all my BBC GM rad hoses from either Ground up or Northern Parts Depot. Perfect fit, with the exception of some minor trimming.

Well, I was hoping to find a hose that is a regular stock item at the parts store, or one that I can at least get within a day or two. "Consumable" items like this I try to get all at local parts stores in case of failure and easy replacement. Not really needing a quick fix, it still isn't even ready to put back on the road yet, lol. But I'm itching bad, so I want to get it done soon!
