Happy New Year Folks!

Considering how faded it now is, how best can I tell what color my carpet should be when ordering new carpet? I've got a Cortez Silver '69 Chevelle with a blue interior. However, after so many years there's been a lot of fading to the carpet, so I'm afraid to try to match what IS there now to the samples provided by various suppliers.

Is there any way to tell what the "official" color was when the car was new? ...what it was called?

Thanks,

Mike O'H

Take the piece of plastic off behind the pedals that holds the carpet down...carpet should be original color and clean. If that doesn't work, under the front seat, or even under the back seat. Or even under the door jamb sill plates. Hope this helps.
