Does anyone know of a company that still makes the evaporative coolers that mounted on the passenger side window? I live near Death Valley and need something to cool down the old Elky this summer - out of work, so can't afford a Vintage Air a/c unit. These evap coolers units worked pretty good as I remember (oops - showing my age). Thanks for any help you can give me.

Gramps, I know what your talking about, haven't seen one in quite awhile, but I can pass along what I used to use when I lived in Phoenix and drove a 68SS no a/c with a black interior and black vinyl top, A spray bottle of water, it works on the same principal. Mist yourself with the water and as it evaporates it cools you off. I did loose a lot of girl friends because of it they couldn't understand why I would buy a car without a/c. If I see one at a swap meet or yard sale I'll nab it and let you know. Philip
