Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone who is running a MARKVIII fan has put one in a custom fan shroud?
I had one built but the guy who fabricated it unfortunately did not do a great job. The design was good but the craftsmanship was not so great. My car has a lot of polished stuff and chrome under the hood and I want to have a polished shroud but I live in Vegas and I am running aftermarket a/c and need a fan that will cool the car in the heat of the summer with the a/c on.
My plan was to run the Mark VIII fan in a custom shroud but I only have a 100 amp alt and with what the fan draws I am a little afraid I may run into some issues???
Other than a Mark VIII fan what would cool my car in Vegas at 110 degrees with the a/c on?
It's a 9.8:1 383 making close to 400 hp I would guess with a 700r4 Trans in a 1966 Chevelle.
Will a 16 inch Spal get the job done?
At some point it will have a big block in it, maybe a few years but I try to plan a head when I can lol
Any recommendations would be great.
Thanks,
Greg
