Before I redid my whole rear interior, I had a set that I placed in the upper convertible armrest panel. These have to be small and you have to drill holes etc. to install them. It did not look good at all and I am not doing it again especially after redoing my back interior. The only other place that I am thinking about would be in the foot/lower part of the backseat. Maybe someone out there has a better suggestion?..

What I really want to know is if they came from the factory with rear speakers, and where they were placed.

Not positive on a '70, but '69s mount on the metal divider between the seat back and trunk. There are 2 cutouts for 6X9s. The speakers face to the rear, on each side of the top pump motor, and you have to CRANK IT UP if the tops down.

I saw a 70 convertible a month ago. stripped to begin resto. It had the speakers similar to the 69, in the divider panel back of the rear seat.
