Conversion To SS Dash Assembly

I just recently had a dream come true when I purchased a 72 Chevelle last Friday, and I am curious about replacing the stock dash. It's a Malibu with the sweep speedo dash and I would like to convert it to an SS dash assembly Found one here: http://www.chevelleparts4less.com/product/527974/ChevelleEl_Camino_SS_Dash_Assembly_7072.html ). I don't want to do the full conversion, but would instead like to fill the slots with different aftermarket gauges. I will be installing the Painless Wiring harness throughout the Chevelle as well. My question basically is: Will aftermarket gauges (autometer or such) fit in the SS dash or will it require lots of modification? Any help would be greatly appreciated
