I just bought a 66 Chevelle. The guy before me just pulled a 305 out of it. I installed a 400. I hooked the wire to the distributor marked battery, one to the solenoid and battery positive to the starter. I hooked one red wire to the alternator, and clipped in the white connector to the alternator. I have one 10 or 12 guage wire left, with a round terminal, that is coming from the passenger side front, goes into a big bundle of wires in a wire loom. Any ideas where this one goes? Thanks

What color is the wire? Which direction does it head? I know of nothing come from the firewall to the front (core support) on the right side of a 66. The bundle it goes into: What other wires are in there? Trying but I can't see and need some help.

I have one of those on my 72. Thought it was a ground but grounded it and it didn't make a difference. Does it come out of the loom that comes from the firewall?

I'd say it is either for a passenger side alternator conversion or to go to the battery. Since you have the alternator wires, it's not likely them.

On the 66, the power feed will be a 10 guage wire coming off the battery post along with the big wire to the starter. It should then go the the horn relay.
