Team,
I hope this is an easy question. I picked up a complete Comp Cam kit with a timing chain. I know the cam has a 4 degree advance build in. When I removed the GM chain I took note of the cam gear's timing mark in relation to the key hole to make sure I install the new one properly. I then noticed my new cam gear has three key hole positions. One matches up perfectly to put a mark right where my old one left off. The other two have (-4) and (4) degrees marked near the keyways. Do I use the one that puts it right where the stock one left the mark. Or do I use the (4) because my cam has a built in four degrees?
I'm assuming I use the key that puts it where my factory one was at, but I thought I'd check with you guys.
