I am 19 years old and own a 1972 Chevelle. I will be leaving the country for 2 years and would like to store my chevelle. I would be too expensive to leave it on the regular insurance so I have been looking into collector car insurance. I will be storing the car and it will not be driven. I have only been told that I have to have more cars than drivers but the car will not be driven by anyone during the 2 years. Does anyone know of an insurance plan that will cover a car in storage.

Hagerty has the same rules, need more cars than drivers. I just got a quote from them for my 67. They are a little more than American Collector Car, but they allow you to drive more.

You are stuck unless someone in your family will insure it for you.

Check further with your present insurer. You can get just the comprehensive portion. This will cover the garage caving in or fire etc. Most of the specialty insurers will not cover anyone under 25
