I'm looking to go with coilovers for my 66 Chevelle Malibu. I'm confused though, which should I go for? It is more of a Daily Driver than anything else. I want comfort and styling. QA1, Varishock or Ride Tech. I'm going to be using the stock UCA's and LCA's, and I don't want to spend too much money.

How low and how high can these coilovers be adjusted? I want the pro-touring look.

I also have a stock 283, aluminum intake, no A/C, what spring rate and height should I look for? Sorry for being completely novice!

I have QA1's single adj. front and rear on my 66 BB. See my Sig "Web Site" for photos. I love them!!!!!
The car rides like a late model and with just a quick twist I can change the feel front to back or side to side for the strip. Don't know how low you can go. As you can see from my Sig I went for the old school drag look. Mine measures 26.5" from the ground to the bottom center of the wheel openings. Get you car weighed a your local truck stop. Front, rear and total weights them call QA1 and based on the weights they will tell you what springs to order. Mine is 3600 lbs total . 2100 front and 1500 rear. Those numbers a rough as I don't have the weigh slip with me. That is with an iron head BB. Hope this helps. Go adj coil overs you won't be sorry. Best mod I ever did. Wish I had done it sooner rather than struggling with replacing springs and shocks.

Coilovers are great for getting the ideal setup. I installed them on my '71 and love the ride and handling.

Air Ride technologies brackets for coilovers with a QA1 setup. Works great, have 350lbs springs in the rear. Car weighs 3750 with gas and a 53% front end weight
