OK, I need your opinions about coatings for Headers. I am going to purchase a set of Hooker Super Comps(1 5/8) for my 70 Chevelle, 383 stroker, and I need to get some opinions about coatings. Hooker offers ceramic coating, but how does it compare to companies like JetHot and Cermakrome? Is it better to send them out to these other companies, or just have Hooker do them? Also, how do these headers compare to brands such as Hedman or Dynomax? Thanks fellas.

Riz, if you already know what headers you want, call or email Jet Hot ( http://www.jet-hot.com/direct.html ) and get a quote from them. They carry headers from all major manufacturers and coat them themselves. I would recommend them over the stuff that places like Hooker and Dynomax use, seems to be of much better quality. I think Jet Hot even gives you one free recoat if you have to 'make' the headers fit, but you pay for shipping.
