For long term(inal) storage, fill the engine with POR15 before storage. This will prevent rust as well as any further usefulness.

At $95/gallon, that would be very expensive. I would have to try the maple syrup thing first!

283v8, non metalic shrinkless grout, or rock bloc. This will have the same result as Por15, is way cheaper and you can put hand prints or trowl in a nice pattern before it set up.

Yeah, but will it rust ? and can you brag to your friends that you "concreted" your block ? "I've POR 15'd my engine" has a real motorhead ring to it.

I have be using the stuff so much lately, I think I have POR-15 on the brain...at the very least nailed a couple million brain cells!
