i need to remove my clutch and brake pedal from my chevelle to put bushings in, can i loosen the clutch push rod from in engine bay so i can loosen pedals up for removal,is it ok to just loosen the rod from zbar under hood? i want disrupt anything with the clutch or anything i hope.

I think you should retract the lower push rod and pull the lower push rod out of the cup on the end of the clutch fork. Then disconnect the return spring on the upper bell crank arm. Then disconnect the push rod on the brake pedal. Once that is done, replacing the bushings on the pedals will be easy. Trying to disassemble/reassemble everything with pressure on it does not sound like a good way to do it.
