I have a column shift car being converted to a manual t-56 72 Chevelle.

I have replacement pedals and they don't look like they are going to fit in the metal bracket that holds them? Do I need to cut it to make it work? I'm referring to the metal bracket that the brake booster studs are on that hold the pedal.

Real long shot but does some one have the bracket design for the t56 master cylinder mount
Thanks
Jay

If you search, I think you'll find the bracket dimensions on this site or possibly a link. It's been discussed often. The clutch pedal swings from outside the bracket, the brake pedal is inside. Same bracket for clutch or auto. Be sure and weld a limiter on your clutch pedal so you won't bottom out your master or crack the plastic.
