Has anyone ever tried "manufacturing" an in dash clock (for say a 1968) by using a a craft store clock movement?
I was thinking I could just drill a small hole in the delete plate and insert the shaft of the "kit" clock through that hole. Then the delete plate could be the clock dial.
Does this sound dumb/crazy?

Sorry John, but I'm gonna have to go with dumb. Other than the cost, why not put in a actual '68 repop clock?
