I had a oil fire on mine. I wiped it of and ran the engine. The next day all traces of the oil was gone. Don't know if you want to try it but that's what happen to me. BTW, the car is a racer and the fire happen at the strip so I didn't have any chance to try cleaning them.

Mike,

I had an oil leak from my fuel pump that threw oil on my right headers. My wife bought some oven cleaner that is to be used on a cold oven. I just sprayed it on while headers were cold, let it set, then wiped everything off. Worked great!!

Mike,
I used a ceramic cooktop cleaner that I bought at a hardware/home center called CeramaBrite. Does a decent job.

Mike: I had my headers cerma coated and the guy said to polish the up with fine steel wool. I had an oil leak from a hose to a remote oil filter. Had burnt on oil. Just took the steel wool and polished the spots right up. Works great.
