On the 69s AIM manual shows 2.44" past the lower edge of bumper and .88" gap between bumper and tip. Not sure if 70s are the same.I about to do the final adjustment on my new exhaust system. What is the correct distance for exhaust tips to stick out? Thanks
I bought a complete original system with hangers from The Parts Place. They dont fit well. Thats why i,m taking the car to a exhaust shop.Get the original style exhaust hanger and they will position your tips in the proper location ,length and height wise.
Thanks thats all needed to know. There sure is alot smart asses on this site.On the 69s AIM manual shows 2.44" past the lower edge of bumper and .88" gap between bumper and tip. Not sure if 70s are the same.
That was my experience with the system I bought from them. One engine pipe wasn't even close and both tailpipes fit like crap. But then when I called and bitched I was told that it has to fit and can't be wrong because a computer made them.I bought a complete original system with hangers from The Parts Place. And there's the problem. No Quality Control. I'm sure The Parts Places doesn't make the exhaust systems."because a computer made them."
