During this era I wanted a Z-24 so badly. I did buy an 88' Cavalier but it was a stripped down version that Dominoes would buy as a delivery car. I never dreamed of a Beretta because they were out of my league like the Z-24. My wife wanted a Dodge Shadow convertible. She eventually got a 90-something Cavalier vert. Blue with a white top that stained no matter what cleaning products we bought. It was a leaky SOB too. We bought some stupid cars back then but it was all we could afford.

That V8 had a 6,500 rpm Redline, wonder if it was all aluminum?

Too bad that V8 wasn't offered as a Z24 option...would have made money....car has the right number of doors as well ...2... No more needed.
Name was too close to the Firenza... maybe that's why they didn't push it forward.

I had a 1994 Sunbird with a V6 and 5 speed that was NOT the SE version. I had tried to get a Cavalier with the same but the salesman lied and said the only way you could get a Cavalier with V6 and 5 speed was to get a Z24
