Well, here's the formula..15x7 chrome Buick rally rims (like the ones on Buick GS's) with the typical 14" SS centercap (they bolt up no problem) and Wheel Vintique's trim rings( part # 3004) that fit their 15x7 SS rims.Other than the chrome spokes and the slightly raised hub that the centercap bolts up to,they're pretty stealth and are a dead ringer for the 14" SS wheels IMO.Around here,Buick 15" rallys are anywhere from $125-$200 for an nice used set of 4,vs. $125 each for the 15" SS Wheel Vintique rims. The trim rings are nice, but are slightly yellow, and are $32.50 each.I hope to post some pictures soon. This all started when I picked up a pair of the 15" Buick rims for free and I had some extra SS centercaps lying around.I tried using trim rings from a 15" Olds rally, but the clips wouldn't grab too securely on the Buick rim,and would pretty much fall off the car backing out of the garage
Anyway, just had to share, and I hope this helps some members out..and they look pretty damn good on the back of my SS454 too

Buick wheels have different spokes, the spokes are curved instead of being flat. The SS rims are no different than Magnum 500 wheels used by many different car companies, some are chrome and some are painted.

Ken,whadda ya trying to do,rain on my parade?
Yes,the spokes are slightly different,HOWEVER with the centercap and trim ring in place, the spoke difference is pretty undetectable, unless you're one of the anal types

Trust me,when I post some pictures (hopefully tomorrow) you won't even notice the difference. The trim ring and center create the illusion!

I used to work in a chemical plant & saw some of these wheels on a company barbecue pit. Took a closer look one day & realized they weren't SS wheels although it was some time before I found out what they were. Pretty nice lookin wheels.

That looks really good, thanks for the tip!

BTW - I almost thought that was a picture of my car! Identical right down to the door edge guards and even the TC sticker in the exact same place.

They look great Chris, much more subtle than I would have thought. I always liked the chrome look over stock. I have the chrome 14" olds SS II on my 70 but may try that in the future, those wheels are dirt cheap at swap meets. In fact I have a set of 6 14" chrome buick wheels, I wonder if they would look good too? I will give it a try!

Craig,I have the 14" SS wheels in front. You don't notice the difference between the two.I didn't paint the Buick wheels, just left them chrome. The only downfall is the trim rings..you have to buy the Wheel Vintique ones as nothing else will fit them, and they're not cheap..believe me,I tried! But at least they're stainless and fit MINT. Thanks for the compliments guys!
