I have two small radiator fans I'm using for defrosters and heating the interior of my 69 el Camino...

The total current draw is around 9 amps..

Couldn't I use a ceramic resister from a points coil to make a low speed?

Thank you...

If you are intending to run both fans' current thru a single ignition ballast resistor (assuming GM size of roughly 1.3 to 1.8 ohms), the resistor will overheat at 9 amps running thru it and the fans may not work well with that much of a voltage drop.

The more efficient design would be configure the fans thru relays in which "low" effectively wires both fans in series. GM has done this on countless cars for the Electric dual cooling fans for the radiator. One idea.
