posted this on the camaro board, but being an old chevelle guy, i thought i'd ask here too.
looks like my Borg Warner 90144 BRUTE POWER CLUTCH is getting low on life. i was thinking of a centerforce. techs there recommended the Dual Friction (DF148552) for my mostly street use over the DFX. the car has a 1304000069 Richmond 4-Speed T10 Transmission - 1st-4th: 2.64, 1.75, 1.34, 1.0 with a 1-1/8" 26-spline input. the car's a matching # 69 396 ss camaro with a machine shop claim of about 400 hp? doesn't seem that much to me, but my 3.08 gears may be contributing to that. anybody have any luck or problems with these. i really would like to get a easy pedal movement, last time i took it to crusin' the coast, i got left leg craps for days with all the stop and go driving.
one other ?, should i just get my flywheel resurfaced of go with a new one?
